This screen-shot shows the running total of the customer's order after a single line item of 7 rolls of 12/2 Romex has been ordered. If the customer wishes to change the quantity, he / she simply scans the item again and follows a couple of prompts to adjust the quantity or remove it from the order. When the customer has completed his or her order, the RaFT is surrendered to any available sales representative. The rep. then brings an image of the order up on a P.C. or dumb-terminal. The order can th en be edited and amended if necessary and sent directly to the warehouse floor for fulfillment. If no changes to the order are required, the elapsed time between surrendering the RaFT and printing the picking ticket is about 30 seconds.
